Dr. Robyn’s Sugar Detox

These protocols are used to improve your sugar control mechanism. Please follow it very closely. The objective is following this for a week minimum, and returning you to a more comprehensive diet as soon as your body will allow. The closer you follow this diet, the sooner your body will respond. The benefits you might note include: Increased energy, strengthened immune system, weight loss, decreased cravings for sugar and processed foods, mental focus, improved memory, decreased pain, improved quality of sleep, and last but not least…REAL foods will taste better!

Proteins: Small amounts of protein every 2-3 hours is key. You may have as much protein as you desire, but no more than the size of your palm at one sitting.

  • Grass-fed red meat-optimally 4oz 3 times a week

  • Wild Fish- unbreaded unlimited

  • Organic Fowl- unbreaded unlimited

  • Organic Free-range Eggs- unlimited

  • No Pork

Vegetables: Load up on Veggies!!

  • Green/Red Vegetables- Unlimited!

  • Yellow/Orange Vegetables- smaller portions. No potatoes or corn.

Fruits: limited to 2 pieces/servings per day until noted otherwise. No banana’s, mangos or dried fruit.

Dairy: Raw cheese ok unless dairy intolerant. All other dairy not allowed.

Beverages: Lots of WATER! Consume ½ per pound of body weight in oz of water daily. Drink a full glass first thing in the morning before breakfast and then continue drinking throughout the day. Unsweetened Herbal Teas are allowed. All other liquids drinks are prohibited.

Snacks: Nuts of all kinds (except peanuts). All nuts should be raw. No more than ¼ cup at one sitting. Fresh fruit.

NOT ALLOWED:

  • NO SUGAR, sugar substitutes, or artificial sweeteners. (Stevia allowed)

  • No Grains- No wheat or wheat products are allowed (This includes white flour products like pasta, crackers, cereals, and bread).

  • No Caffeine, Alcohol or wine.

Important Note: You may experience headaches at the beginning as a sign of sugar detox. DRINK WATER to help! (Sugar lights up our brain just like heroin and cocaine, this is a withdrawal headache)

This program is designed to improve your bodies’ ability to maintain its blood sugar within a healthy range. Your maintaining this diet strictly will also allow us to see what symptoms you normally experience which may be related to your diet. This diet can also be helpful in detecting allergy related symptoms.
